What's the Buzz About? Bees! Abenaqui Alpacas is adding beekeeper to their list of abilities. The farmer resume is growing.
We signed up for Bee School at our local agricultural extension. Bee school will last us six weeks. Date night once a week to bee school, who could ask for more. Oh wait, there is more...evenings not in bee school we will be consumed with bee supplies. My dad is a beekeeper from way back. When they reitred their bees I inherited all their old equipment. Unfortunately it has been exposed to the elements unused for a number of years. We will be spending evening reconditioning those hives, building frames and ordering supplies.
