Born to our NWA Line Clover, Wawiobwan (a.k.a. Ben) is everything we could hope for in a white male. Again, Clover continues to provide us with strong cria. His Sire, HaSu' Ranch's Mohican, provided Wawiobwan with the lustre, crimp and fineness one desires in an exceptional alpaca. HaSu's Mohican comes from an award winning bloodline and StudMaster genetics. His sire is StudMaster Male Ltd. Artero, grandsire is non other than StudMaster Male Peruvian Hemingway and great grandsire Don Julio. On Ben's Dam's side we have the genetics of StudMaster Male Peruvian Pachacutti and Peruvian Bonita Linda.

His crimp is consistent across his entire frame and can easily be seen in his top knot and tail. We are super pleased with the match of NWA Line Clover with NWA Limited Mohican and are excited about Wawiobwans potential.

We hope Ben will grow into an outstanding herdsire here at Abenaqui Alpacas. For now he is content being a young male, mischevious and rambunctious. Wawiobwan is Abenaqui for freshly fallen snow, when he hit the ground his shimmering white fleece looked like a bright white pile of snow. We nicknamed him Ben.

Year: 2009
Show Name: North American Alpacas Show
Show Type: Halter
Class: Bred and Owned Light Yearling Male
Place: 6th
Comments: Again, another top notch competition. Wawiobwan was up against a number of class champions and first place winners. We gladly accepted a 6th place ribbon in this class. Again, his fineness and handle amazed the judges as they consistently observed this finenes and soft character consistently across his entire fleece.

Year: 2009
Show Name: North American Alpaca Show
Show Type: Halter
Class: White Yearling Male
Place: 5th
Comments: Wawiobwan held his own in an extremely large class of white yearling male alpacas. The class was split into three shifts with greater than 14 alpacas in his class alone. We couldn't believe some of the competition he was up against in this class. Offspring from some well known nationally recognized sires. We were pleasantly surprised to see our very own Wawiobwan obtain a fith place ribbon in this class. This is truly a testament to his potential as a junior herdsire.
Judges Comments: Softness of his handle was quite amazing. Consistent softness and shine across his frame to his belly.

Year: 2008
Show Name: New England Coastal Classic
Show Type: Halter
Class: White Juvenile Male - Halter
Place: 4
Comments: Wawiobwan performed well in the ring, standing straight and true for the judges. Although he was overall smaller in size than his competition, his bright white, fine crimpy fleece managed to stick in the judges mind through this tough class, bringing him a fourth place ribbon. Whites are known to be the most competitive classes around. We were more than thrilled. For us a Fourth Place ribbon is a win and a testament to his fine fleece characteristics.
Judges Comments: The Judge mentioned it was the finest fleece she had seen throughout the class. It was simply his size at the time of the show that kept him at 4th Place. She did comment that he was young still and was waiting for his growth spurt.
